I like the idea of a prayer wall. I've never heard of such a thing.

I'm sure it left a lasting impression on the mother, if she noticed it.
I think prayer walls might be common at least in some shrines? I will have to try reading the small print when I go next time; as it is, I have difficulty keeping an eye on both children amid the pandemonium.
